We are welcoming our 34^th school year with open arms. It is a joy to see our students faces back on campus. Teachers and staff have worked hard to prepare for the 2018-2019 school year. What is new this year? A new sound system has been installed in our gym, our teachers have trained hard to implement the Foundations and Frameworks reading curriculum starting in Kindergarten, and our new Dean of Academics has transitioned into her role wonderfully.

Our Director, Matthew Gaines, had this to say about our new Dean of Academics:

“I am pleased to announce that Candace Crawford will be taking over as Dean of Academics.  Candace is a graduate of SMCA, she has taught here for nine years, and she understands well the workings of the school.  I will be expecting her to combine her years of teaching experience and the understanding of her new role to continue leading SMCA’s students and teachers through the learning process.  I am confident she will do a great job.”

We are all confident she will do a great job and are eager to see how God uses her in her new role here at SMCA. If you see her, encourage her. We are all in this together.
