Meet Our Graduate Silhouette
Hi! My name is Jeremiah Remo, but you can just call me JJ. I graduated from Southern Maryland Christian Academy in June, 2011, and went on to begin my Freshman year at Salisbury University in the Fall of that year. I spent four years at Salisbury, and attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business. During my time as a student at SU, I began working as a Team Member at Chick-fil-A North Pointe Plaza in Salisbury, Maryland. I worked at Chick-fil-A for a total of 5 years, and was knowledgeable in all parts of the restaurant. I worked up to becoming one of the store’s Senior Operations Directors. I was recently offered a job from Salisbury University as a Freshman Admissions Counselor. I have an office located in the Admissions House, which is right across from the University. I am now in a position to help pave the way for prospective students pursuing higher education!
It has been seven years since I have graduated from SMCA, but I wanted to share the amazing opportunities God has laid before me while I trusted Him. SMCA has nurtured, trained, and equipped me to be the student and individual I needed to be in order to succeed at the next level. I built life-long relationships with fellow classmates through the years, and had role models in grades above me that displayed what it means to be a follower of Christ, and I had amazing faculty that cared for me, and prayed for me throughout my time there. When I first attended SMCA, I was hesitant. I didn’t want to go to a new school, have to make new friends, or even wear a uniform. However, in hindsight, I can see why God had placed me there. I can see the bigger picture now, and I thank God I had the opportunity to attend SMCA. I now have the opportunity to help future SMCA graduates, and hopefully be an example for these same students.
