Dancing Our Way Through Coding

We had a Dance Party in LMT!

Yes! That’s right a dance party during our LMT classes these last couple weeks; while we were coding. I was thrilled with the newest lesson from Code.org this school year. It made teaching coding to the students (K5- 5th grade) so much fun! The students all enjoyed the music choices and making the characters floss, dab and drop. My heart jumped for joy as the students ran their programs and I watched their enthusiastic reactions. Students laughed and danced each level they coded. As class ended they did not want to leave the computer lab! What an excellent way to bring coding into each students life by coding dance moves and music. It was truly a highlight of my 13 years of teaching.
