Core Essential Values is a program that was implemented at SMCA during the 2018-2019 school year in grades K-5, that focuses on strategies, and techniques for building positive human relationships. With Core Essential Values, teachers have the ability to meet with small groups to teach these values to the students.  The impact of this program has has been evident in the strong relationships established between teachers and students as well as the character growth in our students as they learn to better serve and love those around them. Students absolutely love the program and truly look forward to meeting each month.

Pictured are our Elementary students whom received awards for November and December’s character traits. These students earned a certificate, dress down day, and a Chick-fil-a gift card. Congratulations students!

November’s trait was Honor-Letting someone know you see how valuable they really are.

December was Joy-Finding a way to be happy even when things don’t go your way.

Coming up this month is Knowledge-Learning something new so you can be better at whatever you do!
