November is the month that SMCA’s National Elementary Honor Society traditionally honors our military and veterans. This year, their project was to write letters, as part of Operation Gratitude, to be sent to deployed soldiers, new recruits, veterans, wounded soldiers and their caregivers expressing their thanks and offering encouraging thoughts and prayers. Expressing heartfelt thanks became contagious, Mrs. Cunningham’s Kindergarten class heard about the project and also contributed letters to be included. In total, Eighty-six letters have been sent from our NEHS. May God bless the USA and those who protect it!
