Spreading the Love in February
February is known to many as the month of “love.” Check out a couple of ways our Mustangs are spreading the love during the month of February!
“Socks of the Gospel of Peace”
This year, our Kindergarten and preschool students are participating in a sock drive for the homeless entitled, “Socks of the Gospel of Peace”. In light of us being called to go into the world to share the Gospel (good news) and be the Lord’s hands and feet—we are collecting socks for the homeless in our area. This is the number one requested item from shelters. God’s Word says in James 2:16 (KJV), “And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?”
Last year, even in the midst of our pandemic, we were able to collect over four hundred pairs of socks to donate to “Lifestyles of Maryland”. This year, we hope to exceed that goal as we seek to love one another (1 John 3:23). If you are able and willing to help in any way, please send NEW men’s, women’s, and children’s socks into school with your child through the end of February.
Stay tuned for how many socks we collect this year on our social media pages!
