Congratulations Class of 2024!

On Saturday, May 25, SMCA celebrated Senior Commencement for the Class of 2024. The ceremony included individual prayers over the seniors by teachers Mr. Jackson and Mr. Namyst. Pastor Marvin Harris inspired graduates to focus on Scripture as they leave SMCA. Salutatorian James McGlone quoted Philippians 4:6 to express how he worked through his difficult health times in high school: “Be careful for nothing; but in every things by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Following five student tributes and three “senior babies” who have attended at least twelve years, Valedictorian Jamie Bowie encouraged fellow graduates with 2 Timothy 4:17 “…the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me…and I was delivered…” The ceremony ended with our traditional candle lighting that symbolizes seniors passing knowledge to students who will remain at the school.
