MS/HS Clubs/Activities
Clubs
Middle and high school students continue to learn outside of the classroom through clubs built into
the school day. Clubs provide an opportunity for students to enjoy a social activity that hones
communication skills, fosters creative thinking, and teaches effective teamwork. These activities also
give high school students extracurricular activities to add to college and job applications.
Each year teachers offer a club to share a personal interest and build bonds with students.
Clubs that have been offered: Chess, Crafts, Outdoor, Cooking, Esports, Media, Science, Lego, and more.
The afterschool Drama Club presents two productions per year, including a spring play with a deep
biblical message. Secondary students may try out for acting and stage crew roles. Be sure to get your ticket!
Leadership Opportunities
Elected Student Government Association officers organize quarterly Honor Roll parties, retreat
activities, field trips, and the annual Battle of the Classes field day. Class Officers share input from
their classes with the SGA Officers at regular meetings to give every student a voice in student activities.
Interscholastic Competitions
Middle Schoolers who qualify compete in the Charles County Spelling Bee and ACSI International Math Competition.
Special Activities
SMCA gives students memorable time with friends at the Family Fun Night, Homecoming Banquet
Dance, the Snow Ball, Junior-Senior Banquet, Amusement Park Trip, and more.
