Our seniors spend the majority of the year working on their Capstone Projects. To further their understanding for the importance of such projects, they visited the Charles County Circuit Court and spoke with the judges and staff regarding the value of good evidence and fact-based arguments. The judges also emphasized the importance of impartiality when approaching issues and to be able to analyze both sides of a topic. Students also enjoyed a tour of the courthouse and met with various members of the staff. Special thanks to the Charles County Circuit Court judges and Clerk’s Office for allowing us to visit. We enjoyed lunch together and visited the library to allow students to continue researching their Capstone project topics.
