What's Happening in Science?

What better way to learn than to simulate what you have been taught? Our teachers do a wonderful job creating hands-on activities for their students to be able to apply the information they teach them in the classroom. Take a look at a few of these activities:

Physics

Physics students were able to take principles they learned in class about acceleration, velocity, and speed, and put it to good use in their Hot Wheels lab. Students had to create their own ramp and measure the time and distance of their cars. After gathering crucial information, students then had to figure out the velocity and acceleration for their toy cars.

Earth Science

Our Earth Science students are talking about the parts of a volcano, why volcanoes erupt and how they can affect the ecosystem. Students were able to get creative by constructing their own volcanoes and erupting them.

Life Science

Life science students used coffee grounds and filters to simulate the physiology of the kidneys.
