This fall, Southern Maryland Christian Academy (SMCA) begins its 36th Year of Nurturing, Training, and Equipping students.

The 2020-2021 School Year Plan is to help parents, grappling with schooling concerns presented by Covid-19, seeking a dynamic Christian Education for their child.

The plan is presented early to offer returning students and parents a better feel of how an SMCA education will look if school were to start today.

SMCA’s first day of school is August 31, 2020.

Preschool through 2nd grade students will attend campus all day, Monday – Friday.

SMCA’s Before and After School Care Program is available.

3rd through 12th grade students will follow a hybrid model by combining on-campus and online learning experiences.

Students are able to order outside vendor-produced lunches.

Campus-wide safe cleaning practices are followed by SMCA staff to offer students the safest possible learning environment.

Classrooms have been designed to meet social distancing guidelines.

Teachers will focus on effective student-based learning, no matter the learning platform or location.
