New this school year is a middle school choir elective!

Our students get to learn the fundamentals of music theory, familiarizing themselves with note reading, tempo, and different musical symbols. They also learn vocalization and voice control. The nine-week curriculum introduces the students to singing Gospel songs and choruses, spiritual, praise and worship songs, and a foreign song which they really enjoy, not only learning pronouncing foreign words but analyzing the mode of a song written from a foreign culture. The concert, seen in the photos, is the culmination of what the students have learned in class.
