Dominoes & Dancing: A Night to Remember at SMCA’s Snowball!

Have you ever tried to blow a cotton ball through a maze of domino walls that your teammates set up? Or coached a blindfolded friend in the art of lining up dominoes? How about using CD cases as dominoes and watching them topple in an epic chain reaction? These were just a few of the exciting activities SMCA’s 8th-12th graders got to enjoy at the annual Snowball celebration on Friday, January 17th.

The Snowball event, which marks the halfway point of the school year, was a night filled with laughter, friendly competition, and team-building challenges. Students came together to take on creative and fun-filled domino activities—some of them testing their precision and others relying on a bit of good ol’ teamwork.

But the fun didn’t stop there! After the domino action, the night moved into full celebration mode with Domino’s pizza, Oreos (perfectly shaped to represent the pips on dominoes!), and delicious brownie dominoes to keep everyone fueled. The evening wrapped up with some high-energy dancing, making for an unforgettable time full of memories, laughter, and of course—dominoes!

It’s safe to say the SMCA Snowball celebration had something for everyone, and it was the perfect way to kick-off the second half of the school year.
